Alternatively, you might have had some hypnotherapy training but need to expand your knowledge and gain more practical experience. If you want to help people transform their life and achieve the Gold Standard Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma (HPD) which meets the National Occupational Standards for Hypnotherapy I would be delighted to teach you.
The course is held in Rhiwderin Village (between Newport and Cardiff, 5 mins from J28 of M4).
Upon successful completion you will achieve all of the following:
- Diploma in Clinical and Advanced Hypnosis
- Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma
- NLP Practitioner Certificate
- Specialist Certificate in Smoking Cessation
- Specialist Certificate in Treating Anxiety
- Ericksonian Hypnotherapy Practitioner Certificate
This means that you will be able to start up immediately with all the skills and knowledge that you need to build a successful practice!

The National Council for Hypnotherapy
The National Council for Hypnotherapy holds one of the largest registers of independent Hypnotherapists in the United Kingdom (over 1,500) and strives to maintain the highest standards amongst its members. Via the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) the NCH are actively involved in shaping the standards and future of the hypnotherapy profession.
The National Society of Talking Therapies
The NSTT is the membership arm of our sister school, the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy. Students of the UK Academy can have free student membership of the NSTT and graduates can have their first year as a full member free. The NSTT also holds an annual conference which is always an exciting and enjoyable learning experience!
What is the course duration?
Our course, which equates to 120 taught hours, is offered by attending either:
- Monthly: 1 weekend per month over 10 months- Saturday & Sunday (10am-4.30pm). This could be delivered 1 day twice a month if the group agrees.
In addition to the taught course hours you will be expected to carry out further reading and practice in your time. It is recommended that you allow at least 3 hours per week to do so.

Who is your tutor?
Lisa Pryce-Jones will be your tutor. However, there may be occasions when another tutor will be invited to join a particular session to share their specialism.
Where is the course held?
The course is held in Rhiwderin Village, between Newport and Cardiff, South Wales (just a 5 minute drive from Junction 28 of the M4).
How is work assessed?
Throughout the course you will carry out practical hypnosis sessions and will receive helpful feedback. After each module it is recommended that you complete a self-reflection journal. Throughout the course you will update your assessment portfolio, which will demonstrate your learning, and this will be reviewed 3 times during the course with helpful feedback provided. There will also be 5 case studies to complete in addition to the portfolio questions. You will be expected to keep a log of your wider reading.
What will the size of the group be?
To maximise opportunities for learning the group size will be a maximum of 6 people. This gives you the opportunity to get plenty of hands on practice and receive regular constructive feedback.
